Permits & Inspections
The City of Waller City Council approved a new fee schedule and implemented the newest building codes on 02/19/2024. All changes will go into effect on March 1, 2024. For more information please see the Permit Fee Schedule section.

The City of Waller Building Permits and Inspections Department is responsible for the issuance of permits including, but not limited to, construction, solicitors, signs, plats, alcohol licenses, moving, and occupancy change. Permits are required for new construction, remodel, add-on, plumbing, electrical, and heating/air conditioning.
Building code enforcement protects the citizens and guests of the City of Waller. The City of Waller employs professional, qualified Inspectors.

Additional information
- Work completed without proper permitting is subject to a double fine permit.
- Codes are strictly enforced within the City of Waller.
- Please report non-permitted construction to Waller City Hall.
- All contractors must be registered with the city and provide a current certificate of liability insurance.
- Trade licenses are verified through their respective state agency website.
- Ordinance 353 prohibits the installation of Mobile and Manufactured homes within the City of Waller other than in designated areas. Please refer to The City of Waller code of Ordinances for additional information.
- The City of Waller contracts with Harris County Health department.
