Unclaimed Property

Each year the City of Waller reviews its records in accordance with state law to determine if it is holding property presumed abandoned and therefore subject to Chapter 76 of the Texas Property Code.

This property is still owed to the individual or business, and by publicly displaying the following “Unclaimed Property List” the City is attempting to locate the owner.

Anyone wishing to inquire about the property or assert a claim for it may contact the Finance Department at 936-372-3880. Claimant will be asked to complete an Unclaimed Property Claim Form, attach identification, and provide information that will establish their right to receive the property.

Property values are $100 or less and in the form of cash. Amounts greater than $100 are required by law to be forwarded to the State Comptroller’s office. Their web page can be accessed by clicking on the following link: https://claimittexas.org/.
