Dwayne Hajek

Dwayne Hajek is a lifelong resident of the Waller area, married to his lovely wife Lois. He has served as a city councilman from 2004-2006, at which point he was then elected as the Mayor of Waller where he served 2 years. After serving as Mayor, he has been re-elected as a city councilman which he has been serving since and is still serving to this day. During this time, he has served several terms in the position of Mayor Pro Tem.  Dwayne is a State Certified Firefighter and has been with the Waller Volunteer Fire Department for 42 years. He has held the positions of Vice president, President, Captain, Assistant Chief and is currently the Chief. He has been employed with Baker Hughes for 37 years, 23 of those years have been spent in management. He currently works for the Waller-Harris Emergency Services District 200 as the Facilities Manager.  He is a life-long member of St. Katherine Drexel Catholic Church, where he currently serves as Eucharistic minister and is on the welcoming committee. Dwayne is and always has been involved in the community. This has been his home his entire life and he takes full pride in its future and in the futures of the people of Waller.
