Markus Wayne Benoit
Born and raised in Waller, TX on October 30, 1986, I am a proud husband to my wife Christine Benoit of 14 years, a devoted father to three wonderful children: Tylor Hargrave, Sophia Benoit, and Elijah Benoit, and a local business owner of Benoit Original Salon with my wife. Having spent my entire life in this growing community, I’ve been fortunate to be inspired by strong role models, including my father, Mark Benoit, a volunteer firefighter for the City of Waller who also worked at GH Bettis, my mother, Barbara Benoit, a volunteer firefighter/EMT and secretary at Jones Elementary for WISD, and an influential figure in my life, Jack E. Smith, who served as the Director of Public Works for many years.

A 2005 graduate of Waller High School, I furthered my education at Lonestar College, the University of St. Thomas, and the University of Houston, focusing on pre-med, emergency services, and public management. I earned my Certification in Public Management, receiving the prestigious Leadership Award in Texas for my achievements.

Throughout my career, I have gained valuable experience in various sectors, including working as a PCA III at Tomball Regional Hospital, serving as a Field Supervisor for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, volunteering as a firefighter for the City of Waller, and advancing from Utility Maintenance to Director of Public Works with the City of Waller. During my time with the city, I served as a Double B Operator, a Master Natural Gas Evaluator, and an advocate for emergency management. Currently, I consult with neighboring cities and districts, providing expertise in infrastructure improvements, governmental issues, and compliance standards.

I am deeply committed to helping others through selfless acts that align with my Christian values. I believe life is about helping others as much as possible, and I strive to instill these principles in my home life as well as in my work life. When not working, my family and I like to attend local events and support the community that supports us.
